Event: The Bite of Oregon
Originally planning to volunteer, I arrived onsite. Shortly after, the person hired as Chef's Stage Manager became light headed and had to retire to the VIP tent to recline. I was asked to step into the role with no knowledge of the event or information about the responsibilities. After, the person who hired me suggested I might want to take her position the following year.
Chef's Stage Manager
Served as point of contact for all chefs who would be 'performing' on stage. This involved communication with food vendors, making sure cooking tools and equipment were prepared and managing volunteers assigned to the stage.
